I'm Rohan Movva. At Stanford I split my time between economics, computer science, and engineering. My GPA is 4.03. Outside class, I build tools for work that still happens through PDFs, spreadsheets, and expert judgment.

ClearDeclare

Customs classification is a maze of product specs, legal notes, rulings, and spreadsheets. ClearDeclare does the first pass without hiding how it got there.

Give it a product and it searches roughly 19,000 HTS codes and CBP rulings, recommends a classification, calculates duty, and cites the text behind the answer. I built the retrieval, tools, and evals. Mid-sized importers use it today.

Building plans are giant PDFs. Code review means finding one relevant detail across hundreds of sheets. ClearBlock helps reviewers do that faster.

It reads architectural, MEP, energy, fire, accessibility, and stormwater documents, then checks the plan against the rules for its jurisdiction. Homebuilders use it today. The paper next to it is about a lesson I learned the hard way: a bad benchmark can make a good system look wrong.

03Drug discoveryResearch project

Causa Bio

This started as a drug-discovery project. Then I realized the usual benchmarks might be testing whether a protein was already popular, not whether it was right for a disease.

I built a temporal benchmark from six archived releases and 599,765 clinical studies. The result changed the project: once we controlled for prior drug development, most of the apparent biological signal disappeared. The paper explains what we found.

Nylo

Finding someone in your class shouldn't be harder than finding someone on LinkedIn.

I built Nylo after hearing the same question in every class: who else wants to study? It helps students find groups, tutors, and classmates. I built the database, API, authentication, and SwiftUI app myself. Students use it across Stanford courses.
